The Power of Civility: How Civility Can Strengthen—Not Undermine—Your Zealous Advocacy Skills

A group of distinguished panelists will be part of the Jones Day University CLE program in Los Angeles discussing the importance of civility in the legal profession and reflecting on their experiences as former judges and current mediators/arbitrators as to how civility can lead to more persuasive advocacy and better client outcomes. This session will help attorneys understand the key civility rules and best practices, featuring real-life examples of incivility in action, which increases litigation costs, undermines public confidence in the profession, and can trigger professional discipline under the Rules of Professional Conduct.
