JAMS Society announced a fundraising campaign to provide financial support for the ongoing relief effort in Haiti. JAMS will match donations raised by JAMS Society members in JAMS Resolution Centers through February 2. JAMS Society provides employees volunteer opportunities and a way to give back to their communities. Raising funds for the Haiti relief effort is the most recent action by JAMS Society. Members are collecting donations from colleagues, friends, and family. In addition to this collective effort, many JAMS neutrals and associates have individually contributed to key organizations providing relief. While each JAMS Society Chapter has flexibility in deciding where their donations will go, some of the groups that will benefit from the JAMS Society campaign include Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders.
JAMS Society members participate in a variety of volunteer activities ranging from cleaning up the environment to improving the lives of children and seniors. Members have elected to make a positive change in their communities by participating in the following projects: adopt-a-family programs; AIDS Walk; blood drives; clothing drives for shelters, the homeless, and the Salvation Army; delivery of meals to homebound senior citizens; Esperanza International fundraiser; food drives; Habitat for Humanity programs; Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation events; Ronald McDonald House Charities; and buying school supplies for less fortunate children.
