San Francisco – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, is proud to announce that JAMS panelist Jay Folberg, Esq. received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the American College of Civil Trial Mediators at its Annual Achievement Awards event on July 18.

Mr. Folberg serves as the Executive Director of the JAMS Foundation and the JAMS Institute and has been an active mediator for the past 40 years. He is the former Dean and Professor Emeritus at the University of San Francisco School of Law. Mr. Folberg has trained judges and lawyers in mediation throughout the world and has extensive international ADR experience. He is known as an expert in ADR ethics and has authored several books and numerous articles on ADR. His texts on Mediation and Lawyer Negotiation are used in law schools throughout the country.
Mr. Folberg has successfully mediated multi-party disputes in areas including institutional and public policy, complex business, education, employment, health care and environmental matters. He also served as president of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, president of the Academy of Family Mediators and chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Association of American Law Schools.
