Hon. Curtis M. Fiorini (Ret.) Joins JAMS in Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – JAMS, the premier provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce that Hon. Curtis M. Fiorini (Ret.) has joined its panel. Judge Fiorini joins JAMS following more than 30 years of legal experience, including more than 15 years on the Sacramento County Superior Court.

Based in the Sacramento Resolution Center, Judge Fiorini will serve as a mediator, arbitrator and neutral evaluator, handling business and commercial, employment, personal injury, medical malpractice, real estate, construction defect, automotive, lemon law, and trusts and estates disputes. He is available to conduct sessions in person, as well as virtually, for clients across the country.

During his judicial tenure, Judge Fiorini served as supervising judge for civil settlements and conducted hundreds of settlement conferences involving a broad range of disputes, including personal injury, medical malpractice, business and commercial, commercial real estate, breach of contract, construction defect, lemon law and employment matters. Known for his practical and collaborative approach, he worked closely with counsel and litigants to evaluate legal and factual issues, assess risk and explore meaningful opportunities for resolution. In addition, he presided over jury trials and evidentiary proceedings and served as presiding judge of the Domestic Violence Home Court.

Before taking the bench, Judge Fiorini represented plaintiffs and defendants in business and commercial, employment, personal injury, property, and trusts and estates matters. He later served with the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office, where he gained significant trial experience and handled complex environmental litigation in the Consumer and Environmental Protection Division. In addition to his litigation and judicial experience, Judge Fiorini has long been committed to legal education, teaching at both Lincoln Law School of Sacramento and the University of California, Davis School of Law.

Judge Fiorini earned his J.D. from California Western School of Law and his B.S. from California State University, Stanislaus.
