Gerald Kogan (Retired Chief Justice Florida Supreme Court) Joins JAMS in Miami

Miami – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, today announced the addition of Gerald Kogan (Retired Chief Justice Florida Supreme Court) to its panel. Mr. Kogan will be based in the JAMS Miami Resolution Center. He will serve as an arbitrator, mediator and special master in a variety of disputes including Business/Commercial, Employment, Environmental, Family Law, Insurance, Maritime, Personal Injury/Torts, Professional Liability and Real Property.

Mr. Kogan joins JAMS after a number of years of experience as a trial attorney, justice, mediator and arbitrator. Most recently, he acted as a neutral at Wetherington, Klein & Hubbart, P.A. in more than 500 arbitrations and mediations and was appointed as a special master and special magistrate for numerous assignments. He served as a judge of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, as well as a Justice and Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court for nearly 20 years. While on the bench, Mr. Kogan presided over thousands of decisions resulting in more than 1,000 published and authored opinions.

Mr. Kogan graduated with his B.B.A. from the University of Miami and earned his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law.
