Alexandra Bach Lagos, Esq., Joins JAMS in Miami
Experienced mediator and complex civil litigator joins JAMS as a mediator, arbitrator and court-appointed neutral (special magistrate)
MIAMI – JAMS, the premier provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce that Alexandra Bach Lagos, Esq., has joined its panel. Ms. Lagos joins JAMS with extensive experience as a mediator, arbitrator and complex civil litigator, handling matters involving business and commercial, product liability, personal injury, wrongful death, insurance coverage, class action, multidistrict litigation (MDL), professional negligence and real estate disputes.
Before devoting her practice exclusively to ADR, Ms. Lagos was a litigation shareholder with two Am Law 100 firms in South Florida, where she represented Fortune 500 companies in product liability, insurance and class action matters. She also served as national coordinating counsel in multiple MDLs, including litigation involving thousands of product liability claims across multiple jurisdictions. In that role, she oversaw litigation strategy, discovery and trial preparation, and her broader MDL experience included coordinated discovery, motion practice and settlement negotiations.
Based in the Miami Resolution Center, Ms. Lagos will serve as a mediator, arbitrator and court-appointed neutral (special magistrate). She is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit and County Mediator, a Florida Supreme Court Qualified Arbitrator and a certified mediator for the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Her practice encompasses business and commercial, real estate and real property, construction and construction defect, employment, class action, personal injury and product liability disputes. She is also fluent in Spanish.
“Ms. Lagos brings substantial experience across both litigation and alternative dispute resolution, particularly in complex, high-stakes matters. Her thoughtful, collaborative approach, combined with her understanding of the dynamics that shape multiparty disputes, will be a valuable resource for parties and counsel seeking effective resolutions.”Kimberly Taylor, JAMS CEO and president
Ms. Lagos brings significant experience resolving complex commercial and real estate matters through mediation. Her work has included high-value real estate partnership disputes, law firm partnership disputes, disputes involving food distribution and sales agreements, employment and whistleblower matters, class actions and personal injury claims. Her litigation background also includes representing manufacturers of pharmaceuticals, medical devices and consumer products in high-exposure product liability matters in state and federal courts.
“In addition to the law, an effective neutral must understand the businesses, personalities, economics and realities driving each side’s decisions. I draw on my civil litigation background to help parties assess risk, narrow issues and find a path to resolution,” said Ms. Lagos.
Ms. Lagos earned her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law and her B.A. from Smith College.
