New York – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, today announced the addition of David Perkins to its North American Panel. Mr. Perkins is an English solicitor and a former partner at Clifford Chance where he ran London's largest intellectual property department. He is based in London and available for international matters through the JAMS New York and San Francisco Resolution Centers. He serves as an arbitrator and mediator in a variety of practice areas including Intellectual Property (patents, trademarks, copyright and designs), Telecoms and Trade Secrets.
Prior to joining JAMS Mr. Perkins was a partner with Clifford Chance (1975-2003); Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy (2003-2009); and Arnold & Porter (2010-2013). His practice primarily focused on multi- jurisdictional patent, trade mark and trade secret litigation in Europe, with related contractual and anti-trust issues. In addition, he has provided Expert Evidence in Canada, Japan and the United States.

Mr. Perkins is the author of an extensive list of publications, articles and conference papers on various aspects of IP disputes. He was a Member of the UK Government’s former Intellectual Property Advisory Committee (IPAC); a Founding member of The Intellectual Property Lawyers Organization (TIPLO); and was a member of all major international intellectual property associations. He is an arbitrator and mediator for the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO); ICDR (the international arm of the AAA); HKIAC (Hong Kong); SIAC and SIMC (Singapore); KLRAC (Kuala Lumpur); ICC (Paris); LCIA (London); and the IFTA (Los Angeles). He has also served as an instructor for WIPO’s Annual Arbitration Workshop for more than 10 years.
Mr. Perkins earned his LLB at Newcastle University in England.
