MIAMI – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, today announced the addition of Gill S. Freeman (retired Judge 11th Judicial Circuit) to its panel. Ms. Freeman will be based in the JAMS Miami Resolution Center. She will serve as an arbitrator, mediator and special master in a variety of disputes including Business/Commercial, Construction, Construction Defect, Estate/Probate/Trusts, Family Law, Professional Liability and Real Property.
Prior to joining JAMS, Ms. Freeman sat on the Miami Dade Circuit Court for nearly 20 years and was the first judge to preside over the Complex Business Division, where she served for five years.
Prior to her appointment to the bench, Ms. Freeman practiced commercial, insurance, securities and family law for 20 years. Her move to the bench was largely driven by her desire to effectuate change and fairness in the court system.
“Gill brings a seasoned perspective from both the bench and bar to every resolution she manages,” said Chris Poole, JAMS president and CEO. “She is known for her thorough preparation, persistence and ability to come up with creative solutions for the parties’ disputes. We’re thrilled to have her join us in Miami.”
“I’m excited to continue working with parties to reach a resolution,” said Ms. Freeman. “I also look forward to joining the talented panel and case management team in Miami.”
Ms. Freeman received her B.S. cum laude from Temple University and her J.D. cum laude from University of Miami School of Law.
