JAMS Receives 12 Top Tier ADR Firm Rankings in U.S. News Survey
November 02, 2017
IRVINE, Calif. – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, is proud to announce that it has been prominently recognized in the eighth annual U.S. News & World Report ranking of the legal services industry. As it has done for years with universities and hospitals, U.S. News, working with the leading attorney ranking company Best Lawyers, has now ranked law firms and legal services providers.
Ten JAMS locations received first-tier rankings among ADR firms in their respective cities. They include Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Orange, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. Minneapolis and Seattle were listed in Tier 2.
“We’re so pleased JAMS had such a thorough representation in the U.S. News list,” said Chris Poole, JAMS president and CEO. “We really appreciate that our colleagues and attorneys recognize how hard we’ve worked to provide the best service possible.”
In the U.S. News – Best Lawyers ranking, firms with the highest overall scores were included on metropolitan lists that covered as many as 81 practice areas in 171 metropolitan areas and seven states. Because firms were often separated by small differences in overall score, they have been tiered rather than ranked sequentially.
The first tier includes firms that scored within a certain percentage of the highest-scoring firm(s); the second tier, those firms that scored within a certain percentage of the next highest scoring firm(s), etc. To be eligible for a metropolitan ranking, a firm had to have at least one lawyer listed in Best Lawyers.
Founded in 1979, JAMS is the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide. With Resolution Centers nationwide and abroad, JAMS and its nearly 350 neutrals are responsible for resolving thousands of the world’s important cases. JAMS may be reached at 800-352-5267.
