JAMS sponsors global pound conference, an event where global impacts of ADR are examined

MIAMI – JAMS is proud to serve as the Global Gold Sponsor of the iconic Global Pound Conference (GPC) series, which aims to improve the way disputes are resolved in the business environment. The next event in the United States is in Miami on April 6.

JAMS is very proud to support the Global Pound Conference and work alongside the other impressive organizations as together, we increase access to ADR around the world.

-Chris Poole, JAMS President and CEO

The conference aims to examine the global impact the first Pound Conference had on the ADR movement, as well as share best practices and the latest developments to streamline the process in the U.S. The co-chairs for the Miami program are Hon. Cristina Pereyra-Alvarez (Ret., 11th Judicial Circuit) and Hon. Scott J. Silverman (Ret., 11th Judicial Circuit), both of JAMS

The GPC Series 2016-17 launched in Singapore and concludes in London. Of the 40 programs throughout the world, eight are in North America. The next North American conference is June 8 in Baltimore.

The historic Pound Conference, originally named in honor of Roscoe Pound, former dean of Harvard Law School, had its inaugural event in 1975 and led to the birth of the modern dispute resolution system. To learn more about the event, please visit here.
