Howard B. Miller, Esq., FCIArb Joins JAMS in Los Angeles

Former President of the State Bar of California joins JAMS as a mediator, arbitrator, and special master

New Panelist Announcement

LOS ANGELES – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, today announced the addition of Howard B. Miller, Esq., FCIArb to its panel. Mr. Miller will be based in the JAMS Los Angeles Resolution Center and available internationally as well. He will serve as a mediator, arbitrator and special master for Business/Commercial, Entertainment, Environmental, Intellectual Property, International and Real Property disputes.

Mr. Miller is a past President of the State Bar of California. He has been at the center of the California legal profession since he began his career as law clerk to Justice Roger J. Traynor of the Supreme Court of California.

Over the course of his extensive litigation career, including the last 16 years at his law firm evaluating, managing and handling major commercial and intellectual property cases, Mr. Miller has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in all areas of civil law. That wide range of clients, roles and substantive matters provides Mr. Miller with invaluable insight into case evaluation and high-stakes litigation. His command of substantive law is extensive. He was Professor of Law at the USC Gould School of Law for many years, teaching classes on civil procedure, contracts, real property, antitrust, securities and international law.

Howard’s focus is to seek resolution by empathizing the needs and understanding the goals of all those involved. He brings a seasoned perspective to his JAMS practice and we’re thrilled to have him join us.

Mr. Miller received his B.A. from Pepperdine University and earned his J.D. from University of Chicago Law School, Order of the Coif. He also served as editor-in-chief of the University of Chicago Law Review.
