New Panelist Announcement

San Francisco – JAMS, the world’s largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to welcome Otis McGee, Esq., to its panel. Based in the San Francisco Resolution Center, and providing services nationwide, Mr. McGee will serve as an arbitrator, mediator, special master/referee and neutral evaluator in a wide variety of disputes, including employment, government/public agency, business/commercial, personal injury/torts, civil rights and construction.

Mr. McGee is a well-respected member of the legal community who is known for his perseverance and meticulous attention to detail. We are looking forward to seeing him thrive in this new role as a neutral at JAMS.

- Chris Poole, JAMS President and CEO

Before becoming a full-time neutral in 2018, Mr. McGee practiced law for more than 40 years, most recently as the chief assistant city attorney and head of the litigation division for the Oakland City Attorney’s Office. Before that, he was a partner at international law firm Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP, litigating complex commercial, intellectual property and employment matters. Earlier in his career, he co-founded the firm Alexander Millner & McGee (later Arnelle, Hastie, McGee, Willis & Greene), where he served as its managing partner. The firm went on to become the largest minority-owned firm in the country.

I pride myself on handling disputes efficiently and professionally. Emotions are often involved in disputes, and I make it a priority to defuse difficult situations and help bring the parties to resolution. I am eager to apply the knowledge and the experience I’ve gained throughout the years to this new role as a neutral with JAMS.

- Otis McGee, Esq., JAMS Arbitrator, Mediator, Special Master/Referee and Neutral Evaluator
