St. Louis – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce the addition of Hon. Donald G. Wilkerson (Ret.) to its panel. Judge Wilkerson joins JAMS in St. Louis following over 15 years of distinguished service as a magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois. During his time on the bench, Judge Wilkerson presided over thousands of matters in all stages of litigation, conducted bench trials by agreement of the parties, handled discovery disputes and issued reports and recommendations on dispositive motions.
Based in the St. Louis Resolution Center, Judge Wilkerson will serve as an arbitrator and mediator, handling disputes in business and commercial, civil rights, class action and mass torts, employment, insurance and personal injury and torts.
Judge Wilkerson is known for his empathy and fair, balanced approach when helping parties resolve their disputes. His interpersonal skills, combined with his experience, have earned him respect from both sides of the aisle. We’re looking forward to having him join the panel in St. Louis.
- Chris Poole, JAMS President and CEO
Prior to taking the bench, Judge Wilkerson served as an assistant U.S. attorney in the Eastern District of Missouri, practicing in the areas of economic crime, child exploitation, civil rights and violent crime. In this capacity, he successfully argued matters before panels of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and the Eighth Circuit Court en banc.
Throughout my career, I have made it a priority to fully understand the complexities of the law and how it applies to the matters that have come before me. I’m looking forward to using these skills and working alongside the talented panelists at JAMS.
