Heather McFarlane, Esq., Joins JAMS in Houston

Accomplished ADR professional and former attorney joins JAMS as a mediator, arbitrator and neutral evaluator

New Panelist Announcement

Houston – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce that Heather McFarlane, Esq., has joined its panel. Ms. McFarlane brings more than 15 years of mediation experience and over two decades of litigation practice to her new role, supported by more than 500 hours of focused mediation training.

Ms. McFarlane’s mediation practice encompasses a wide range of matters, including complex commercial disputes, corporate governance and dissolution, negligence, insurance coverage, professional liability, trade secrets and intellectual property.

Based in the Houston Resolution Center, Ms. McFarlane is available to conduct sessions in person, as well as virtually, for clients across the country and internationally. She will serve as a mediator, arbitrator and neutral evaluator, handling business and commercial, insurance, intellectual property, personal injury and professional liability matters.

Earlier in her career, Ms. McFarlane practiced law at Fulbright & Jaworski (now Norton Rose Fulbright). She also worked at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius as part of a team focused on intellectual property and complex commercial litigation for Fortune 100 companies. In 2010, she established her own firm, where she continued litigating and began developing her mediation practice. She has appeared before several state and federal courts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the Federal Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.

Ms. McFarlane earned her J.D., with honors, from the University of Texas School of Law. She completed extensive training with the Early Dispute Resolution Institute and Harvard Law School. She also holds a Family Mediation Certification from the A.A. White Dispute Resolution Center, University of Houston Law Center.
