Atlanta – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce that Hon. J. Clay Fuller (Ret.) has joined its panel. Judge Fuller joins JAMS with over 25 years of legal experience, including serving for over a decade on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
While on the bench from 2012 to 2024, Judge Fuller presided over nearly 250 mediations for cases pending in the Northern District of Georgia. He developed a keen understanding of strategies to bring matters to resolution. During his years with the court, he also issued hundreds of reports and recommendations on dispositive motions. Overall, he presided over more than 500 employment matters and over 1,100 consumer financial services litigation matters.
Based in the Atlanta Resolution Center, Judge Fuller will serve as an arbitrator, mediator, special master/referee and neutral evaluator, handling business and commercial, class actions, employment, entertainment, federal, insurance, intellectual property, and personal injury matters. He is available to conduct sessions in person, as well as virtually, for clients across the country and internationally.
“We are honored to welcome Judge Fuller to the panel as JAMS. His time on the bench has provided him with deep insight into a range of legal matters. We are confident that his experience and thoughtful approach will make him a valuable resource for parties seeking resolution to even the most complex of disputes.”
Kimberly Taylor, JAMS CEO and president
Judge Fuller began his legal career as law clerk for the Hon. Richard W. Story in United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Before attending law school, Judge Fuller was a songwriter and lead guitarist with a major-label band, Allgood, from Athens, Georgia, which performed about 200 shows per year around the country.
“While presiding over nearly 250 mediations on the federal bench, I quickly learned that my job is to help the parties find the harmony and nail the ending,” said Judge Fuller. “I’m looking forward to embarking on this new journey as a JAMS neutral.”
