Irvine, Calif. – JAMS, the premier provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, announced that Hon. Jane Cutler Greenspan (Ret.) received the Edmund B. Spaeth Jr. Award from Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts (PMC). The award was presented at PMC’s Judicial Independence Benefit on Nov. 17 in Philadelphia.

Recipients of the Edmund B. Spaeth Jr. Award are selected for their impactful contributions to judicial reform, the advancement of judicial independence, or civic and educational efforts related to the courts.

Justice Greenspan joined JAMS after a distinguished career of more than 30 years on the bench and in public service. She served as a justice on the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and spent two decades on the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, handling complex commercial, malpractice, class action and governmental matters. She also has substantial experience in Title IX investigations and adjudications for colleges and universities nationwide.

As an arbitrator, mediator, court-appointed neutral and neutral evaluator, Justice Greenspan is known for her thoughtful judgment, thorough preparation and ability to manage high-stakes, multiparty disputes. A former director of the American College of Business Court Judges and a member of the American Law Institute, she draws on her broad legal experience to help parties reach meaningful and lasting resolution.
