Hon. Stuart M. Rice (Ret.) Recognized by the Los Angeles County Bar Association During Jewish American Heritage Month

Recognition honors contributions to the legal professional and service to the Los Angeles legal community

Irvine, Calif. – JAMS, the premier provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce that Hon. Stuart M. Rice (Ret.) has been recognized by the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) as a 2026 Jewish American Heritage Month honoree.

LACBA’s Jewish American Heritage Month initiative recognizes legal professionals whose leadership, service and achievements have made a meaningful impact on the legal profession and broader community.

Judge Rice is a JAMS neutral with more than 20 years of judicial experience on the Los Angeles County Superior Court, where he presided over a broad range of complex civil matters, including commercial litigation, torts cases, employment disputes, class actions, insurance coverage disputes and probate cases. Prior to joining the bench, he spent decades in private practice handling civil, tort and probate litigation. Drawing on his extensive judicial and litigation background, he brings a thoughtful, balanced approach to dispute resolution, helping parties resolve complex matters efficiently and effectively.

Throughout his career, Judge Rice has been widely recognized for his leadership and service to the legal profession. He served as president of the California Judges Association and as a member of the Judicial Council of California, in addition to holding numerous leadership positions within bar associations and judicial organizations throughout the state. He has also remained deeply committed to mentorship, civility and advancing the legal profession through public service and educational initiatives.
