The Cornerstone Award honors a member of the Forum who has rendered long-term exceptional service to the construction industry, to the public and to the legal profession. The Cornerstone Award is the highest award presented by the Forum on Construction Law.

Mr. Mitchell is based in Washington, D.C. and has more than 40 years of experience as a neutral and attorney. He is a recognized expert on domestic and international engineering and construction law, U.S. Government and State and Local Contract Law, contract administration, and dispute resolution. He focuses on mediating and arbitrating complex, multi-million-dollar disputes involving construction, government contracts, and related matters and frequently serves on arbitration panels and dispute review boards worldwide.
