Employment Law Institute 2024
This year’s Employment Law Institute will examine current trends, developments, and cutting-edge issues in employment and labor law. Topics to be discussed in two tracks include critical issues in Executive Compensation, an overview of the National Labor Relations Act and current trends in union organizing and collective bargaining. Participants will learn about the evolving law of restrictive covenants and New York State’s proposed ban on non-competes, as well as strategies for effective pre-litigation dispute resolution. The Institute will also feature a plenary session addressing legal issues associated with emerging technologies (AI) and employment law.
Navigating the intersection of cybersecurity, AI, and ethics will be among the topics discussed. Highly regarded in-house counsel and practitioners from both the plaintiff and defense bars will be the guest speakers. JAMS neutral, Hon. James “Jay” C. Francis IV (Ret.), will speak on the 10:10am panel entitled “Track 2B: Developments in Employment Law: Analysis of Recent Supreme Court & Circuit Court Decisions."
