Ethics Matter! Resolving Healthcare Disputes with Integrity

  • Hon. Gail Andler (Ret.)
  • Hon. Randa Trapp (Ret.)
How do legal ethics influence the settlement process—and ultimately, success? A panel of experienced current and former judges will share real-world insights from years of mediating healthcare disputes, offering essential strategies for ethical and effective advocacy. Learn how to craft demand letters that avoid extortion claims, navigate mediation in good faith, and balance persuasive negotiation with ethical obligations for candor. The discussion will also cover conflicts of interest with respect to attorney fee negotiations and representing multiple parties, and ethical boundaries in settlement agreements. This session satisfies one hour of your “Legal Ethics” MCLE requirement and is a must-attend for attorneys handling healthcare dispute resolution.
