CAOC Class Action Seminar

As part of CAOC’s Class Action Seminar, Hon. Elizabeth D. Laporte (Ret.) will join a panel to discuss practical and procedural considerations in achieving and finalizing class action settlements, including settlement structuring, judicial approval, notice requirements, and common challenges that can delay resolution. The discussion will also address strategies for handling objections, ensuring enforceability, and managing post-settlement administration in this 1.25-hour program.

Hon. Kenneth R. Freeman (Ret.) will also be featured on a panel that will explore the new developments in state and federal courts pertaining to class actions, with a special emphasis on standing, certification issues, fee petitions and settlements.
