Friday, Feb 13, 2026Minority Outreach Conference
The Minority Outreach Conference has long served as a trusted gathering place - a safe, supportive space where Black legal professionals can share their experiences, strengthen their well-being, and build meaningful connections. Rooted in the Lawyer Assistance Program’s mission to destigmatize mental health support within the Black legal community, the conference continues to honor that legacy while embracing a forward-looking vision for leadership and excellence.
This year’s theme, “Navigating Transitions in Law and Leadership,” reflects the dynamic realities of our profession and the resilience of those who lead it. Throughout the day, you’ll hear from engaging speakers who will challenge, motivate, and energize you. JAMS neutrals Hon. Allyson K. Duncan (Ret.) and Hon. Cheri Beasley (Ret.) will participate in the 1:30 pm Fireside Chat, “Transitions in Law, Leadership, and Life.” Chief Justice Beasley will interview Judge Duncan, engaging in a thoughtful discussion on the many nuances of transition in both career and life. Together, they will share personal insights and stories that resonate broadly with attendees.
