San Francisco – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, today announced the addition of Hon. Randall J. Newsome (Ret.) to its panel. Judge Newsome will be based in the JAMS San Francisco Resolution Center and will be available to hear cases throughout the country. He will specialize as a mediator, arbitrator and discovery master for disputes in a variety of areas including Bankruptcy, Business/Commercial, Employment, Government, Securities and Professional Liability. Prior to joining JAMS, Judge Newsome served as the chief judge of the United States Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of California.
Judge Newsome successfully served as a mediator in more than 200 cases over nearly 30 years during his tenure as a bankruptcy and settlement judge. He has handled both national and local matters involving complex bankruptcy and commercial issues, including claims of breach of contract, fraudulent transfer suits, mortgage fraud, employment discrimination and lender liability.

Newsome received his B.A. summa cum laude from Boston University and his J.D. from University of Cincinnati, College of Law. He is a member of the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges as well as a fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy.
