Superior Court Judge Hon. David E. Hunter (Ret.) Joins JAMS

San Francisco – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, today announced the addition of Hon. David E. Hunter (Ret.) to its panel. Judge Hunter will be based in the JAMS San Francisco Resolution Center. He will serve as an arbitrator, mediator and special master in a variety of disputes including Business/Commercial, Employment, Government/Public Agency, Personal Injury/Torts, Professional Liability and Real Property.

Judge Hunter served as a judge in Alameda County for 34 years and resolved more than 1,000 cases in settlement conferences. He is noted for serving as settlement judge in clergy abuse cases, individually negotiating and resolving hundreds of cases. Additionally, he was often sought after for Complex Civil Litigation Calendar case assignments.

“On the bench, Judge Hunter earned a reputation for working with parties to consider settlement as often as possible,” said Chris Poole, JAMS president and CEO. “His engaged and evaluative approach will make him a great addition to our panel.”

Judge Hunter graduated with his B.A. from Brigham Young University and earned his J.D. from U.C. Hastings College of Law.
