San Diego – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, today announced the addition of Hon. Jeannie Lowe (Ret.) to its panel. Commissioner Lowe will be based in the JAMS San Diego Resolution Center and will serve as an arbitrator, mediator and special master in Family Law disputes.
Commissioner Lowe joins JAMS after 10 years on the San Diego County Superior Court handling family law cases. She presided over numerous trials covering all areas of family law, including complex property division, support and parenting issues. A Certified Family Law Specialist, Commissioner Lowe spent the last four years on the bench managing the North County branch’s mandatory settlement conference program. During that time, she developed a reputation for resolving even the most highly disputed family law cases.
“Commissioner Lowe is known as patient, even-tempered and very fair, qualities that are essential in Family Law cases,” said Chris Poole, JAMS president and CEO. “Her reputation in San Diego as one of the hardest working judges makes her an excellent addition to our panel.”
“ADR works well in family law cases and I’ve utilized it throughout my time on the bench,” said Commissioner Lowe. “I always take the time to consider each case and understand the feelings and nuances in every situation. I look forward to continue doing the same great work while at JAMS.”
Commissioner Lowe graduated with her B.A. from University of Nevada at Reno and earned her J.D. from University of San Diego School of Law. Commissioner Lowe taught newly assigned family law judges at the Family Law Institute. She was twice recognized by the San Diego County Family Law Specialists as “Judicial Officer of the Year” in 2011 and 2012 and received the “Distinguished Jurist Award” award from the Southern California Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers in 2010.
