San Francisco – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, is proud to announce that Hon. Patrick J. Mahoney (Ret.) was honored with a city-wide resolution by the Commission on the Status of Women for his work and support of San Francisco.
The Commission on the Status of Women honored him for his many years of service to the community. They cited his efforts to convene a variety of task forces composed of city agencies focused on cross-cutting issues to better serve families and children and demonstrated a concerted interest in promoting the welfare of troubled girls. In addition to his service on the courts, Judge Mahoney contributed his time and expertise by serving on the boards of the Legal Aid Society of San Francisco, the Juvenile Detention Alternative Initiative, and Legal Community Against Violence, among other organizations.
“We are thrilled that Judge Mahoney was recognized by the Commission on the Status of Women with this resolution,” said Chris Poole, JAMS president and CEO. “His work while on the bench is truly noteworthy and deserving of this resolution. We join the Commission in applauding his service to the San Francisco community.”
