Simone K. Lelchuk, Esq., Joins JAMS in New York

NEW YORK – JAMS, the premier provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, today announced that Simone K. Lelchuk, Esq., has joined JAMS as a neutral based in New York. Ms. Lelchuk is a nationally recognized ADR professional and accomplished mediator with extensive experience resolving complex, multi-stakeholder disputes across a broad range of practice areas.

Ms. Lelchuk has received appointments to design, administer and allocate settlement funds arising from some of the nation's most high-profile and sensitive matters. Her work includes appointments involving claims brought by survivors of abuse associated with Jeffrey Epstein, administration of the sexual misconduct claims fund established in connection with claims against Harvey Weinstein, work involving the settlement program established by Columbia University and Columbia University Irving Medical Center for survivors impacted by former gynecologist Robert Hadden, and trustee-related responsibilities connected to the Purdue Pharma and Sackler family settlement fund.

Based in the New York Resolution Center, Ms. Lelchuk will serve as a mediator and court-appointed neutral (special master/referee). She will handle business and commercial, antitrust, bankruptcy, class action, employment, insurance, mass tort, personal injury, professional liability, securities and financial markets matters, among others. She is available to conduct sessions in person, as well as virtually, for clients across the country and internationally.

In addition to her settlement fund work, Ms. Lelchuk mediates business and commercial, insurance coverage, employment, antitrust, bankruptcy, consumer class action and securities matters. Prior to becoming a neutral, she practiced law at a large New York City law firm and worked as a consultant with KPMG LLP. She is also an adjunct professor of law at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she developed a seminar focused on mass tort litigation and settlement.

Ms. Lelchuk earned her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she served as president of the Cardozo Dispute Resolution Society and an editor of the Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution. She earned her B.B.A. from Ohio University.
