Hon. Lynn Duryee (Ret.) Joins JAMS in San Francisco

San Francisco – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, today announced the addition of Hon. Lynn Duryee (Ret.) to its panel. Judge Duryee will be based in the JAMS San Francisco Resolution Center. She will serve as a mediator, arbitrator, or referee in a variety of disputes within multiple practice areas, including business/commercial litigation, construction, employment, family law, personal injury/torts, insurance, professional liability and real property.

A legal industry veteran, Judge Duryee brings 21 years of experience as a Trial Court Judge, Supervising Civil Judge and Supervising Criminal Judge to JAMS. During her tenure in Marin County she presided over, and settled, thousands of commercial, contract and negligence civil cases. Judge Duryee also served as a Supervising Family Law Judge where she was known for settling several hundred high-conflict child custody cases. While on the bench, Judge Duryee implemented a program which eliminated 100% of the Marin County Superior Court’s backlog by instituting settlement programs and training volunteers to assist with settlement conferences.

Judge Duryee is an active member of the legal industry and has taught hundreds of courses to judges throughout California in all aspects of civil litigation, evidence, ethics, and dispute resolution.

Judge Duryee received her B.A. in English from the University of California, Berkeley, and her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law.
