London – JAMS International is proud to announce three additional global affiliates, including the Arab Mediation Centre in Egypt; Neutrales ADR in Spain; and ADR Partners in Serbia.
“Egypt, Spain and Serbia are all very important markets with a true need for high quality ADR resources,” said Chris Poole, JAMS president and CEO. “By expanding JAMS presence globally and endorsing these organizations, we continue to support and increase the development of ADR around the world. We welcome these organizations to our network.”
These new additions to the JAMS network enables JAMS International to continue supporting and providing the highest quality mediators and arbitrators around the world.
The Arab Mediation Centre was established by distinguished Arab judges and legal experts who share the knowledge, expertise and the belief in the importance of mediation and ADR. The goal of the Arab Mediation Centre is to address certain limitations associated with litigation and to use mediation and ADR to enhance the quality of justice efficiently.
ADR Partners in Serbia was established by Blazo Nedic, a Serbian lawyer and mediator, former JAMS Weinstein International Fellow, and president of the Serbian National Association of Mediators. The organization is committed to working with the courts and legal community to implement and promote mediation and ADR, advance a culture of change and conflict management, rule of law and citizens’ access to justice in Serbia and in the Balkans region. ADR Partners provides mediation and ADR services, and participates in the development of ADR public policies by providing services such as legislative drafting, capacity building, coaching, mentoring and mediating cases, mediation training and outreach and awareness-raising.
Neutrales ADR, based in Madrid, was established by Ignacio Ripol and Francisco Giménez-Salinas, both Spanish lawyers and mediators, and former JAMS Weinstein International Fellows. The organization will work to foster mediation and ADR in the Spanish legal market. Despite the efforts of the European and Spanish authorities to promote mediation and other ADR methods, there is still a need for high quality services in commercial mediation in Spain.
ADR organizations affiliated with JAMS International work independently from JAMS and JAMS International, but abide by the highest standards of practice and have received training from JAMS and JAMS International. These organizations maintain panels of mediators and arbitrators with international experience and the language skills to handle complex disputes.
