Irvine, Calif. – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is proud to announce that Hon. Richard M. Aronson (Ret.) will be honored by the Orange County Bar Association’s Appellate Law Section with the David G. Sills Award for Appellate Excellence.
The award was established in 2010 when it was presented to the late Justice David G. Sills in celebration of his 20 years as presiding justice of the California Court of Appeal, Fourth District, Division Three. In honor of Justice Sills’ legacy, it has since been presented annually to a prominent lawyer or jurist who exhibits excellence in appellate law.
Justice Aronson has deep roots in the Southern California legal community and has honed his tremendous skills through decades of service. We are proud to have him on our panel and pleased to see his contributions recognized with this prestigious award.
- Chris Poole, JAMS CEO
Justice Aronson joined JAMS in October of this year, prior to which he served for nearly two decades as an associate justice on the California Court of Appeal, Fourth District, Division Three. Earlier in his career, he also served for over 10 years on the Orange County Superior Court. Over his career, he has authored approximately 1,600 opinions, including more than 180 that were published, covering nearly every aspect of California law.
In his role at JAMS, Justice Aronson serves as an arbitrator, mediator, special master/referee and neutral evaluator, handling appellate, business and commercial, employment, health care, insurance, personal injury and torts, professional liability, real estate and real property, and family law disputes.
