Miller (Ret.) has been honored with the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers’ (AAML) Judge of the Year Award. The award will be presented during the organization’s 30th Annual Institute of Trial Advocacy: New Waves in Family Law Litigation.
Judge Miller has been recognized for her contributions to family law and commitment to the Southern California legal community. The AAML is the leader in family law continuing education, publications, networking and training. Since 1962, the AAML has operated as a nonprofit association of lawyers who concentrate on all issues related to family law.

Judge Miller joined JAMS in 2019 after more than 30 years as a judge in Orange County. She spent 16 years handling a family law direct calendar and served for two years on a Superior Court appellate panel. Judge Miller established the first Children’s Chambers in Orange County, where children are cared for while their parents take care of court business. It subsequently became a model for courts all over the state. In her role at JAMS, she serves as an arbitrator and mediator in areas such as family law, business and commercial, employment, personal injury and real property.
