We congratulate them on this well-deserved award.

- Chris Poole, JAMS CEO

Ms. Weiner and Mr. Picker’s new book is the third edition of a guide first published by Mr. Picker to great acclaim in two earlier editions. The third edition is thoroughly updated and provides comprehensive yet practical tips for understanding key suitability, negotiation, preparation and advocacy issues in mediation.

The new edition focuses on commercial mediation and includes extensive new material on special topics, such as best practices for virtual mediations and for business executives involved in mediations, cognitive barriers and negotiation techniques, multiple party, IP, deal mediation, standby mediation, mediations involving insurance representatives and detailed case study examples. Reviewers called it “simply the best resource available and a must-have for all commercial litigators” and shared that it was “a cogent, comprehensive, compact, current and practical guide to everything you need to know about commercial mediation.”

I am so grateful to Ben for entrusting me to partner with him on the new edition. It was delightful discussing and blending our different perspectives and experiences to create this book.
