Detroit – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce that Judge Wendy L. Potts (Ret.) has been honored with the Oakland County Bar Foundation’s (OCBF) Legend in the Law award. The award was presented during a special reception in Oakland County on October 29.

In its second year, the Legends in the Law program was started with the assistance of Henry Gornbein in 2019 to recognize lawyers in Oakland County based on their prominence in the profession, impact on the legal community, dedication to service in Oakland County and support of the foundation and its mission. The OCBF, a partner of the Oakland County Bar Association, promotes and funds programs designed to increase access, affordability and understanding of the law and legal system.

“We congratulate Judge Potts for this outstanding recognition from the Oakland County Bar Foundation. Throughout her time on the bench and beyond, she has remained an advocate for dispute resolution within Oakland County. She is known as a problem-solver and for her ability to engage local members of the business community to understand how the court could best approach complex litigation.
