Boston – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce that Hon. Bonnie MacLeod (Ret.) has been inducted into the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly Hall of Fame in recognition of her extraordinary contributions to the legal field in Massachusetts. The induction ceremony for the third annual Hall of Fame class was held in Boston on Sept. 16th.

Presented by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, the Hall of Fame honors attorneys who have made exceptional contributions to the legal profession in Massachusetts. Inductees are recognized for their distinguished careers spanning at least 30 years, during which they have demonstrated professional excellence, advanced the development of Massachusetts law and contributed meaningfully to the improvement of justice and the legal community.

“We congratulate Judge MacLeod on this well-earned recognition. Her induction into the Hall of Fame speaks to a career defined by integrity, leadership, mentorship and service to the legal profession in Massachusetts. We are so pleased to see her contributions honored in this way.”

Kimberly Taylor, JAMS CEO and president

Judge MacLeod joined JAMS after more than 27 years on the Massachusetts trial court, including 13 years on the District Court and 14 years on the Superior Court, where she served as regional administrative justice for civil business in Suffolk County. On the bench, she presided over a broad range of civil matters, including business and commercial disputes, tort and contract actions, real estate contests and professional liability cases. Prior to her judicial service, she spent 17 years in public practice, serving as chief of the Appeals Division in the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and later as first assistant bar counsel and chief of the Litigation Division in the Office of Bar Counsel, where she led enforcement of legal ethics and professional conduct.

At JAMS, Judge MacLeod serves as an arbitrator, mediator and court-appointed neutral (special master/referee), and is known for her thorough preparation and ability to resolve complex, high-stakes disputes with fairness and persistence. Over the years, in addition to her fulltime work as lawyer, judge and neutral, she was a member of the adjunct faculty at Boston College Law School, New England Law/Boston, Northeastern University School of Law and Suffolk University Law School, where she served for 33 years as an adjunct professor before retiring from teaching in 2019.
