JAMS and Dallas County Dispute Resolution Center Join Forces to Expand Access to Justice Through Pro Bono Mediation on Conflict Resolution Day

JAMS neutrals volunteer their time to help community members find meaningful, cost-effective paths to resolution

Resolution Center News

Dallas, TX – JAMS, the premier provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is proud to collaborate with the Dallas County Dispute Resolution Center (DCDRC) to provide same-day, pro bono mediation services on Oct. 16, 2025, in celebration of Conflict Resolution Day. JAMS mediators will provide mediation services to parties involved in consumer disputes and personal injury matters needing immediate attention, with the goal of increasing access to justice in the Dallas community.

Parties must be referred to the DCDRC from a Dallas County judge who has determined that their case requires immediate attention and the parties are unable to afford mediation services. JAMS neutrals will be available in two time blocks: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

“Mediation is a powerful tool that helps individuals effectively and efficiently resolve disputes. At JAMS, we believe more access to this type of dispute resolution means a stronger justice system and stronger community relationships. We are proud to partner with the DCDRC to make mediation more accessible to Dallas community members—helping individuals move beyond conflict and find constructive solutions.”

Jonathan Moss, vice president of operations at JAMS

“The DCDRC’s mission is to serve Dallas County residents by offering affordable, alternative ways to resolve disputes, and we’re proud to do just that with the support of JAMS on Oct. 16,” said Othel Bursey ADR Coordinator, Dallas County Dispute Center. “Mediation should always be the tool of first resort and not the last one. Together, we look forward to increasing access to justice and helping individuals reach meaningful, timely outcomes.”

The Dallas County Dispute Resolution Center is located in the George Allen Sr. Courts Building at 600 Commerce Street, 6th Floor, Suite 681-D, Dallas, Texas.
