Panelist News

Irvine, Calif. – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to share that neutrals Lisbeth M. Bulmash, Esq., and Michael A. Zuckerman, Esq.,  have been appointed to serve on the Board of Directors of the Association of Attorney-Mediators (AAM). Ms. Bulmash recently completed a two-year term as president of the organization and will be serving her second term on the board.

The association was originally founded by the late Steve Brutsché in 1989 and incorporated as a nonprofit in 1991. AAM's creation was the result of the inception of mediation by professional attorney-mediators in Texas. The association now includes over 350 members and offers ethical guidelines to promote excellence in the profession, advanced training and continuing professional education, and networking opportunities nationwide, among other resources.

“We congratulate Ms. Bulmash and Mr. Zuckerman for their selection to AAM’s Board of Directors. This appointment highlights not only their strengths and skills as experienced neutrals, but also their commitment and dedication to the ADR community in Dallas and Chicago, respectively, and beyond.”

Kimberly Taylor, JAMS CEO and president

Ms. Bulmash has been a full-time neutral since 2002 and joined JAMS in 2020. She primarily handles business/commercial, health care, personal injury, professional negligence, employment, estates/probate/trusts and real property cases. She is known for her unique way of anticipating parties’ needs and interests through her decades of experience. She is also a frequent speaker and course instructor on a variety of ADR-related topics.

Mr. Zuckerman joined JAMS in 2024 and has extensive experience handling matters as a neutral across practice areas, including commercial, consumer and employment matters. Earlier in his career, he was a trial and appellate litigator in private practice. He quickly became known for his skill in negotiating settlements, briefing complicated issues and developing legal strategies. He is also treasurer of the local Illinois chapter of AAM, a leader in the ADR community and a law professor teaching mediation and arbitration.
