Randy K. Jones, Esq., Joins JAMS in San Diego
Veteran lawyer joins JAMS as a mediator, arbitrator and neutral evaluator
San Diego – JAMS, the premier provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce that Randy K. Jones, Esq., has joined its panel. He brings more than 40 years of experience across government service and private practice.
Mr. Jones most recently worked as a litigation partner and first-chair trial lawyer at Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky & Popeo, P.C., from 2015 to 2026, where he represented Fortune 500 companies and senior executives. During his tenure, he served as lead trial counsel in a range of complex matters, including federal trademark litigation in the Central District of California, a federal civil rights trial involving a large public school district and significant commercial arbitrations.
Based in the San Diego Resolution Center, Mr. Jones will serve as a mediator, arbitrator and neutral evaluator, handling business and commercial, class action and mass tort, intellectual property, international and cross-border, employment, civil rights, personal injury and health care matters.
“Mr. Jones brings exceptional trial experience and a depth of perspective shaped by decades at the highest levels of public service and private practice. He has handled some of the most challenging matters across civil, criminal and military forums. His steady judgment and command of the ADR process will serve parties well. We are pleased to welcome him to the JAMS panel.”
Kimberly Taylor, JAMS CEO and president
Prior to private practice, Mr. Jones worked as an assistant United States attorney in the Southern District of California for nearly three decades. He served 29 years in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps. As president and CEO of the National Bar Association—the oldest and largest organization of predominantly African American lawyers and judges—he managed all organizational operations, secured landmark corporate partnerships, led international legal delegations and worked directly with members of Congress and White House staff on civil rights and criminal justice reform.
“With extensive experience as a civil litigator and trial attorney, federal prosecutor and military judge advocate on both sides of the table, I understand what drives institutions, what moves decision-makers and what it takes to achieve durable resolutions,” said Mr. Jones. “I look forward to bringing that background to the highly regarded JAMS panel as I begin this next chapter of my career.”
Mr. Jones earned his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law and his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He also received his honorary LL.D. from Claflin University.
