Getting Noticed By the Big 3: Institutions, Counsel, and Parties

Presented by the New York International Arbitration Center and the Hispanic National Bar Association

Hon. Ariel E. Belen (Ret.) joins a panel speakers for this engaging conversation on arbitrator selection. Latinas and Latinos have historically been underrepresented in the arbitration field. This need not be so. While getting a start as an arbitrator can be challenging, there are increasingly many pathways for Latinas and Latinos. Panelists will discuss how arbitrator candidates can create a resume and profile to be noticed by institutions, colleagues and parties and selected for domestic and international commercial matters. Bring your questions and come ready to discuss.

The Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) and the New York International Arbitration Center (NYIAC) invite you to an evening session in collaboration with the American Arbitration Association-International Centre for Dispute Resolution (AAA-ICDR) with ICDR Young & International (Y&I), the American Muslim Bar Association (AMBA), the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) New York Branch, the Dominican Bar Association (DBA), JAMS, the Long Island Hispanic Bar Association (LIHBA), the Iranian American Bar Association (IABA), the New York City Bar’s Inter-American Affairs and Arbitration Committees, the Miami International Arbitration Society (MIAS), the South Asian Bar Association of New York (SABNY) and the Queens County Women’s Bar Association.
