Join us at the 2025 Lavender Law Conference. Since its inception in 1988, Lavender Law® has served as a ‘family reunion’ for LGBTQ+ and ally legal professionals to both look back at our shared history and to look forward to the future of the legal profession. The Lavender Law® Conference & Career Fair is the largest LGBTQ+ legal conference in the country with over 2,000 attendees attending annually.

Alternative Dispute Resolution Skills for LGBTQ+ Professionals and Clients
Wednesday, July 30, 2025 | 2:00 PM - 3:15 PM
This workshop is for attorneys, judges, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) professionals focused on enhancing skills for working as authentic LGBTQ+ professionals and effectively serving LGBTQ+ clients in arbitration and mediation settings. The workshop will be interactive and participatory, utilizing a blend of presentations, discussions, role-playing, and group activities to ensure engagement and practical learning. Participants will be encouraged to share their experiences and perspectives, creating a collaborative learning environment.
The primary objectives of this workshop are to:
- Develop Skills: Provide practical skills and strategies for professionals to engage authentically and empathetically with LGBTQ+ clients;
- 2) Promote Inclusivity in the ADR Space: Foster an inclusive environment that respects and understands diverse sexual orientations and gender identities and encourages people to seek ADR careers;
- 3) Facilitate Dialogue: Create discussion and sharing experiences related to LGBTQ+ issues in the legal field.
