Las Vegas – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, today announced the addition of Hon. Lawrence R. Leavitt (Ret.) to its panel. Judge Leavitt will be based in the JAMS Las Vegas Resolution Center. He will serve as an arbitrator, mediator and special master for disputes in a variety of areas including Business/Commercial, Employment and Intellectual Property.
Judge Leavitt served nearly 25 years on the federal bench. He has vast experience resolving complex legal disputes and mediated more than 1,500 cases after being appointed a U.S. Magistrate Judge for the District of Nevada in 1987.

Prior to joining the federal bench, he worked for the Clark County District Attorney’s Office and the U.S. Department of Justice. Judge Leavitt graduated with his B.A. from University of Illinois and earned his J.D. from University of California Berkeley School of Law.
