Toronto – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, today announced the addition of Ronald E. Dimock, Esq. to its panel. Mr. Dimock will be based in the JAMS Toronto Resolution Centre. He will serve as an arbitrator and mediator in a variety of disputes within the Intellectual Property practice area. Mr. Dimock is a founding partner of Dimock Stratton, LLP in Toronto where he remains in active practice.
An engineer, Mr. Dimock brings nearly 40 years of patent, trademark and copyright experience to the JAMS practice. Known as one of the most experienced patent trial lawyers in Canada, to-date Mr. Dimock has handled more than 35 patent trials, 20 appeals from patent trials and managed more than 400 different patent disputes. He has also appeared in front of the Supreme Court of Canada, as counsel on some of today’s leading cases in IP law, such as: Whirlpool v. Camco (patents: claim construction), Lego v. Mega Bloks (trademarks and functionality) and Robertson v. Thomson (copyright in freelance articles).

Mr. Dimock received his LL.B. from Queen’s University, where he also received a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Applied Mathematics and Engineering.
