International Neutral Fred G. Bennett, Esq., Joins JAMS

New panelist will serve as arbitrator and mediator in Century City Resolution Center

New Panelist Announcement

Los Angeles – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to welcome its newest addition, Fred G. Bennett, Esq., as a neutral to the panel. Mr. Bennett is a highly regarded international practitioner with over 35 years of experience as an advocate, arbitrator and mediator of complex international and domestic disputes. He is recognized for his ability to manage large, multifaceted and technical cases. He has served as an arbitrator in over 60 international and domestic arbitrations. As both an arbitrator and advocate, Mr. Bennett maintained a global practice managing complex disputes in multiple countries throughout Europe, Asia, North America, Latin America and the Middle East.

Based in the Century City Resolution Center, Mr. Bennett will serve as an arbitrator and a mediator for international and domestic arbitrations in the areas of aviation/aerospace, complex business/commercial, construction, energy/utility, government/public agency, intellectual property, real property and telecommunications (including satellite technology).

With Mr. Bennett’s years of experience as an advocate, arbitrator and mediator, as well as his extensive background in managing complex disputes throughout the world, I’m confident he’ll make an excellent addition to the JAMS panel. We’re so pleased to welcome Mr. Bennett, and we’re looking forward to watching his practice grow.

-Chris Poole, JAMS President and CEO

Prior to joining JAMS, Mr. Bennett had an illustrious career with two global firms—Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, where he was chair of the firm’s international and U.S. arbitration practice, and lead counsel in numerous domestic and international arbitrations; and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, where he was a senior partner and served as head of the firm’s worldwide ADR group. Mr. Bennett is a fellow of the College of Commercial Arbitrators and the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, former board and executive committee member of the American Arbitration Association and a member of the U.S. National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the ICC Commission.

I strive to make the most just decision in every case by achieving an overall perspective in which all relevant facts, from all parties, are put in their proper places, under the umbrella of applicable law, calling on common sense and equity in the gray areas. I have always believed strongly in being an acute listener and problem solver, which are skills that I’m sure will help in transitioning to my new role as a neutral with JAMS.

-Fred G. Bennett, Esq., JAMS Arbitrator and Mediator

Mr. Bennett received an Honors B.A. degree from the University of Utah and earned his J.D. from the UCLA School of Law.
