Hon. Elizabeth Loredo Rivera (Ret.) Joins JAMS in Chicago

Former Cook County judge and family law specialist joins JAMS as arbitrator and mediator

New Panelist Announcement

Chicago – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce the addition of Hon. Elizabeth Loredo Rivera (Ret.) to its panel. Judge Loredo Rivera joins the JAMS family law practice in Chicago after 24 years of service on the Cook County bench. Judge Loredo Rivera presided over a trial calendar in the Domestic Relations Division from 2002 until her retirement in 2022, as well as a post-decree calendar in the same division from 2000 to 2002.

Based in the Chicago Resolution Center, Judge Loredo Rivera will serve as an arbitrator and mediator specializing in family law disputes. She is available to conduct sessions virtually for attorneys and their clients across the country.

Judge Loredo Rivera is highly skilled and known for her understanding of the dynamics of family law. With her litigation, judicial and settlement experience, we are confident that she will make an excellent addition to the JAMS panel.

Judge Loredo Rivera has extensive experience in family law matters, having heard hundreds of motions, arguments and trials. The trials over which she presided included hotly contested custody and child relocation issues, large estates and substantial business holdings.
