Panelist News Awards

Chicago – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce that Hon. Moshe Jacobius (Ret.) will be presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Decalogue Society of Lawyers. Judge Jacobius was chosen for this award for his commitment to the Decalogue Society of Lawyers and his support of Jewish lawyers and the greater Chicago legal community.

The Decalogue Society of Lawyers is made up of attorneys of Jewish faith throughout the United States and abroad. Founded in 1934, it is the nation’s oldest Jewish bar association and through its work, it seeks to promote justice and advance and improve the law, the administration of justice and the legal profession. The society’s mission is to advance its lawyers’ professional development, raise the standards of the bar and bench, educate the public on legal and Jewish issues, and maintain vigilance against anti-Semitism.

Judge Jacobius is a tremendous advocate for the Jewish legal community and a respected jurist and ADR professional. He has earned a reputation for his civility and efficiency in resolving disputes, and we congratulate him on this prestigious honor. JAMS is fortunate to have him on our panel.

- Chris Poole, JAMS CEO

Judge Jacobius joined JAMS in 2022 following a distinguished 31-year career serving as a Cook County Circuit Court judge. During his time as a judge, he presided over the Chancery and Domestic Relations divisions, hearing hundreds of motions and arguments and presiding over a multitude of trials involving custody, large estates and substantial business holdings.

In his role at JAMS, Judge Jacobius serves as an arbitrator and mediator, handling administrative law, business and commercial, civil rights, class action, family law, insurance and real property disputes.

The award will be presented as part of the Decalogue Society of Lawyers’ 88th Annual Installation and Awards Dinner on July 7.
