Irvine, Calif. – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is proud to announce that Joanne Saint Louis was selected as a recipient of the National Bar Association’s 2022 “40 Under 40 Nation’s Best Advocates” award.

The annual awards recognize the nation’s top 40 lawyers under the age of 40 who exemplify a broad range of high achievement in the legal field, including in advocacy, innovation, vision, leadership and overall legal and community involvement. Those selected represent a cross-section of legal professionals across industries all of whom are using their juris doctor degree in innovative and community impacting ways.

The National Bar Association was founded in 1925 and is the nation's oldest and largest national network of predominantly African American attorneys and judges. It represents the interests of more than 65,000 lawyers, judges, law professors and law students.

We are proud to congratulate Joanne on this exceptional recognition. Joanne is a positive force within the diversity, equity and inclusion space and she shines so brightly in all her work. We are grateful to have her as a member of our team and to see her recognized by her peers for her outstanding contributions.

- Mark Smalls, JAMS Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer

Joanne Saint Louis joined JAMS in 2019 as the organization’s first diversity program manager and was recently promoted to director. In her role, she works collaboratively across JAMS and externally to further diversity and inclusion goals. Her key responsibilities include assisting in bringing on high-caliber, diverse neutrals to the JAMS panel and working with law firms, in-house counsel and affinity bar organizations to diversify the selection of mediators and arbitrators.

The awards will be presented at the National Bar Association’s renowned 40 Under 40 Awards Gala on Wednesday, July 27, during the NBA’s 97th Annual Convention in Memphis, Tennessee. Ahead of the awards presentation, the National Bar Association welcomes individuals to review the list of recipients and cast votes for “Best in Class” recognition. These nominees will be further recognized for their excellence in the categories of advocacy, leadership, service, activism and innovation.
