Silverman (Retired Judge, 11th Judicial Circuit, Florida) will be honored by the Daily Business Review with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2023 Florida Legal Awards ceremony on May 17.
The annual award series recognizes distinguished members of the Florida legal community in various areas of the law. For the Lifetime Achievement Award, individuals are recognized for having a significant impact on the practice of law in Florida over a notable legal career. Judge Silverman will be honored, along with five others, in this category.
Judge Silverman has devoted decades of his career to the Florida legal community and has established a reputation built on his keen legal and business sense and for taking on complex cases. We are proud to have him serve on our panel, and congratulate him on this outstanding recognition.

Judge Silverman spent almost 22 years as a judge on the 11th Judicial Circuit, during which time he presided over thousands of cases across all areas of the law and served as the circuit’s historian. He is known within the legal community for his intellect, down-to-earth manner and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
Judge Silverman has been a neutral at JAMS since 2012 and has served as a mediator, arbitrator, special magistrate and neutral evaluator in both domestic and international matters. He excels at creating an environment that is conducive to achieving positive results for parties, and he prioritizes determination and creativity throughout the resolution process.
