JAMS Presents Inaugural Release of International Caseload Statistics

In 2022, JAMS neutrals handled over 400 international cases

General Announcements

Irvine, Calif. – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to share its 2022 international caseload statistics. In this inaugural report, information has been captured regarding the volume and types of international matters handled in 2022.

JAMS is comprised of over 400 highly skilled neutrals with decades of experience and extensive knowledge across dozens of practice areas. In 2022, JAMS had over 23,000 active cases, including 437 international cases. Out of those active international cases, 241 were new cases filed in the calendar year, of which 120 were international arbitrations.

“We are tremendously proud to release our inaugural international caseload statistics report, which demonstrates that JAMS is a leader in international alternative dispute resolution. While these numbers are important, what really sets JAMS apart are the talented neutrals, who play a key role in resolving some of the world’s most complex disputes.”

- Chris Poole, JAMS CEO

The data illustrates the ongoing demand for JAMS’ services, the wide use of JAMS arbitration rules, and the prominence of ADR within the national and global legal industry. The cases span the spectrum of practice areas and industries, including commercial insurance, energy and renewables, entertainment, engineering and construction, financial markets, health care, life sciences, intellectual property, sports, and technology.
