JAMSADR Judge Nancy Allf

Hon. Nancy L. Allf (Ret.) Joins JAMS in Las Vegas

Former district court judge joins JAMS as an arbitrator, mediator, special master/referee and neutral evaluator

New Panelist Announcement

Las Vegas – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce that Hon. Nancy L. Allf (Ret.) has joined its panel. Judge Allf joins JAMS after serving for 13 years as a district court judge for the Nevada Eighth Judicial District Court. She served as a Business Court judge for most of her time as a jurist, handling a wide range of disputes.

As one of four judges on the Business Court for 10 years, Judge Allf handled one-quarter of all Business Court cases in Clark County. She was involved in the formation of the Business Court, with the Nevada Supreme Court appointing her in 2000 to the Business Court Task Force, which proposed the program’s creation. While on the Business Court, she handled cases involving business tort, business divorce, breach of fiduciary duty and relationships, business judgment rule, derivative causes of actions, and the purchase or sale of a business’ stocks, assets and commercial real estate.

Based in the Las Vegas Resolution Center, Judge Allf will serve as an arbitrator, mediator, special master/referee and neutral evaluator, handling business/commercial, personal injury/tort, construction, employment, probate and estate, professional and product liability, bankruptcy and cannabis cases. She is available to conduct sessions in person, as well as virtually, for clients across the country.

Judge Allf is known for her aptitude for handling complex cases and navigating disputes on a wide range of issues. She is a leader within the Las Vegas legal community and a distinguished jurist, and we are pleased that she has decided to join our panel.

- Chris Poole, JAMS CEO

The Nevada Supreme Court appointed Judge Allf as a settlement judge from 1998 to 2007. She was also appointed to the Pro Bono Compliance Committee in 2002. In 2005, she was appointed to be a judge in the Short Trial Program of the Eighth Judicial District. She served as the presiding judge of the Civil Division of the Eighth Judicial Court from 2021 to 2022. Prior to the bench, Judge Allf had a private practice, where she focused primarily on commercial litigation, bankruptcy law and Chapter 11.

Throughout my career, I have sought to be creative and innovative in how I approach each case. This mindset, coupled with my many years of experience, has supported my ability to handle diverse and meaningful matters. I look forward to this next phase of my career and working with parties to resolve their disputes.

- Hon. Nancy L. Allf (Ret.)

Judge Allf earned her B.A. from Transylvania University and her J.D. from Salmon P. Chase College of Law, Northern Kentucky University.
