From Clause to Consequence: A Live ADR Clause-Drafting Experience

An interactive workshop focused on strengthening arbitration clause drafting, an important factor influencing the cost, efficiency, fairness, and ethical integrity of dispute resolution. Unclear or incomplete provisions often result in procedural fights, increased costs, ethical concerns around fairness and party expectations, and significant delays. This session will equip corporate counsel with practical tools to help prevent issues through hands-on drafting exercises, clause comparisons, and scenario-based problem solving. Participants will use AI clause-building tools to explore how technology can support clarity, consistency, and strategic decision-making while preserving essential human legal judgment and meeting ethical obligations related to procedural fairness. This workshop delivers applicable skills for drafting effective ADR clauses in an evolving legal and innovative landscape.

31st Annual Uvaldo Herrera National Moot Court Competition

March 11 – 12, 2026
Competitors are presented with a complex legal issue, often mirroring cases pending before the U.S. Supreme Court. Participants are tasked with drafting appellate briefs and delivering oral arguments before panels comprising sitting or retired judges. This competition not only hones students’ legal writing and oral advocacy skills but also fosters critical thinking and resilience under pressure. Winners are recognized with scholarships, celebrating their exceptional performance and dedication.
