JAMS Recognized as Finalist for 2022 Legalweek Leaders in Tech Law Awards

Nomination for industry-leading transition to fully virtual ADR in response to COVID-19 pandemic

Awards

Irvine, Calif. – JAMS, the largest private provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services worldwide, is pleased to announce that JAMS has been named a finalist for the 2022 Legalweek Leaders in Tech Law Awards in the Litigation & Discovery category.

The second-annual awards recognize innovation in the legal technology sector and for individual and firm-wide initiatives to work on precedent-setting, game-changing projects and initiatives in the United States. JAMS was recognized as a finalist for its work to roll out fully virtual ADR capabilities to support the legal industry during the COVID-19 pandemic and to develop the framework for industry-leading virtual capabilities for the years to come.

We are tremendously honored to be recognized by Legalweek for our efforts to quickly rise to the challenge of providing virtual capabilities to parties nationwide. Our accomplishments have been the product of deep collaboration and are a testament to our neutrals’ and staff’s commitment to serving the evolving needs of the legal industry. We continue to prioritize the health and safety of all parties involved in our proceedings and are resolute in our mission to continue to push the needle in legal innovation.

- Chris Poole, JAMS CEO

For JAMS, responding to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020 required fully and quickly transitioning to virtual proceedings for all matters. All segments of the company came together to support the seamless transition, and JAMS also began to offer additional lines of support to parties, neutrals and staff, which it continues to do.

To ensure the high-quality services that are at the heart of JAMS, all neutrals received extensive training on how to navigate and lead proceedings on online platforms. Additionally, in 2020, JAMS launched JAMS Access, a secure online case management platform for accessing and uploading case documents and information, and JAMS Virtual ADR Moderators, individuals who are specifically trained to facilitate online proceedings, to support the success of virtual proceedings.

Winners of the Legalweek Leaders in Tech Law Awards will be announced at an in-person awards ceremony on March 10 during the 2022 Legalweek New York conference.
